So close…
The title means a lot of things at the moment.
Well, to start out, it may have only been the first 5 strikes, but, well, I was still close to a 300…again. In the sixth frame I threw a perfect shot and left a stone 7 pin (which I then missed). Over the course of the past year and a half I have shot (in order) 277, 279, a front 8 for a 254, 276, and a 288. It’s really starting to upset me more and more that I cannot get my 300. I have worked so hard for it and I still have yet to earn my ring. I have also worked hard for a 700 series, that’s all, just a 700 series, and I still have yet to get that. My high set is 684 and my high game is that 288. I’m sorry if you’re reading this and don’t really understand what I’m talking about, but bowling is my life. It always has been and always will be. I am part of a bowling family. My mom, dad, step-mom, step-dad, half-brother, mom’s parents, and step-mom’s parents all bowl. And I cannot forget about my bowling family, from my teammates to my competitors. We all even feed each other on an early tournament morning.
The second thing that this title is about is the book I am currently taking a quick little break from to share my thoughts with you all. Don’t make fun, but one of my favorite series is the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. Well, Rose’s story ended about a year ago (has it really been that long already???) and Richelle has continued on in this world telling Sydney’s story after everything that has happened with Rose in the Bloodlines series. I am currently reading the second book, The Golden Lily, and am less than a hundred pages from the ending. I don’t want it to end since I have to wait until next year for the next book to come out. My thoughts right now on this book: ADRIAN. That is it, besides this book and this series and the Vampire Academy series just being pure amazingness. I like to call Adrian my fictional husband. He is just that amazing to me. I love him so much!
